• Skill based assessment including the ABBLS-R, AFLS and VBMAPP. Assessing the student's current strategies and skills is necessary to develop a skill acquisition program.  
• Development of skill acquisition program including discrete trial instruction, task analysis, and precision teaching.  Other tactics include picture activity schedules, mand training, pairing and conditioning.
• Social skills training including peer modeling.

• Functional behavior assessments:  An FBA is a formal evaluation that requires ABC data from multiple observations from the behaviorist, interviews from teachers and parents, and possible manipulations of the environment. The purpose of an FBA is to determine the function of the problem behavior(s) and to develop tactics to reduce the problem behavior, increase appropriate behaviors and teach replacement skills that will match the function of the problem behavior.
